THE MP is urging drug-users to 'consider their actions' after police revealed a dangerous batch of heroin is doing the rounds in Barrow.

Barrow and Furness MP, Simon Fell is calling on drug-users to act with caution after Cumbria Police issued an urgent warning about a strong batch of heroin.

Mr Fell reiterated Cumbria Police's call for consideration in light of the drug warning.

He said: "Users need to consider their actions carefully.

"If ever there was a moment to consider what a risk drugs like heroin are, this is it.

"Iā€™d urge anyone who needs support to reach out to CADAS or The Well."

A police spokesman warned users of the 'potentially tragic consequences' of their actions if they come across the drug.

He said: "We are aware of the possibility that a strong batch of heroin may be circulating in Barrow ā€“ and are urging users of drugs to think carefully about their actions.

"Officers are taking this opportunity to re-emphasise to drug users the potentially tragic consequences of their actions."

Officers have stressed to users that there is help and support out there for those affected by drug use.
