Windermere and Bowness Medical Practice have entered a new interim management contract with Cumbria Health on Call (CHoC).
The new provider say the medical practice was a good fit for their organisation.
CHoC Chief Executive Susan Blakemore said: “We are delighted to have this opportunity to provide care for the patients of Windermere and Bowness Medical Practice, the practice team are dedicated to providing their patients with high quality and effective care, values which are shared by CHoC.
"We look forward to working with the team and also alongside our local health partners who are also providing a range of clinical services to the patient population, this is an exciting opportunity for us all.”
CHoC say new locally-based GPs have now been recruited to the practice.
Registered patients at the practice do not need to take any action and will continue to receive care at the practice.
