A man who was caught nearly four times over the drink-drive limit has been banned from the road.
Brian Wakefield was charged after he drove his Nissan Pathfinder on Duddon Road in Askam on September 13.
The 54-year-old pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court.
The court heard he had 127 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath; over the limit of 35.
Magistrates ordered Wakefield, of Brookside in Askam, to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work for the offence and banned him from driving for 30 months.
