A WARNING has been issued as Co-op is recalling a meatballs product due to risk of it containing plastic.
Cumbria Trading Standards highlighted that the Co-op's British 12 Beef Meatballs packs are being recalled because the product may contain pieces of plastic.
The product affected are in the 350g pack sizes and have a use-by date of March 5, 2021
The possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat. The Food Standards Agency have said that if you have bought the above product do not eat it but instead should return it to the nearest store for a full refund.
