LOCATION: A590 at Lindal
SOUTH Lakes Police are wondering if there are any farmers with missing sheep as 30 ewes were spotted on the A590 near Lindal.
They took a light-hearted approach to their investigation with some humorous puns thrown in to their appeal.
The force said on Twitter: "2666 - #Ulverston farmers - Are your in lamb ewes accounted for? We had approximately 30 on the A590 at Lindal. UK tag 102964.
"#Ewe can contact us on 101 to find out more, quoting log 12 of today (March 3).
"#almostfleeced!"
