A TOWN woodland has undergone a tidy up thanks to a community grant.
Gill Banks in Ulverston has undergone a major pruning of the laurels after receiving a grant from South Lakeland District Council’s climate change community fund last November.
As part of the grant, new bird boxes have also been put up throughout the woodland area.
A spokesman for South Lakeland District Council said: “We were delighted to support this project to re-wild an Ulverston woodland.”
