New arrival welcomed to zoo family
A NEW arrival has been welcomed to the zoo family - and has already made quite the impression.
South Lakes Safari Zoo has welcomed the maned wolf Chewie who joined the zoo family all the way from Sandwich Wildlife Park.
Seven-year-old Chewie has been making himself at home and sniffing out his indoor house.
A spokesman for South Lakes Safari Zoo said: "Chewie will be a wonderful companion for resident female Danna, who has already made her way to the house to check out her new buddy.
"Welcome to the family Chewie."
