A590 partially blocked after incident
AN 82-year-old man has been taken to hospital after a collision on the A590.
Police said the road was closed eastbound through Ulverston following a one-vehicle collision at B5281 Swan Street.
The man has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital.
The incident was first reported after 10am.
Contractors are en route to make safe and clear a damaged lamp post from the carriageway, Highways England said.
Officers have urged people to use the A5087 as a diversion.
