CLOSED: Poundstretcher, Barrow
STAFF have cleared a discount store after it closed.
Poundstretcher in Barrow closed its doors for good on Thursday.
And staff were seen removing items from the Walney Road Retail Park store.
It followed a closing down sale at the shop.
The neighbouring Home Bargains is due to expand into the former store.
Plans for the expansion work were approved by Barrow Council last year.
The development by the large discount chain is said to be worth £2 million.
