A MAN from Barrow has been fined and banned form the roads for drug driving by South Cumbria Magistrates.

Jacob Lewis Johnson, 25, of Cross Street admitted to driving on Ironworks Road on August 15, 2020, when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely Deltra-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis constituent) in his blood.

The level in his system was 2.6ug per litre of blood which is above the specified limit of 2.0ug per litre of blood.

Johnson was fined £120, ordered to pay £34 to fund victim services, and costs of £85, totalling £239.

He was disqualified from driving for 20 months.
