A SCHOOL is closed today due to adverse weather.
Dowdales School in Dalton will not open to keyworker children today as planned following snowfall in the area.
A post by the school on social media said: "Dowdales School is closed to staff and keyworker children today due to adverse weather conditions: work will continue to be set via TEAMS."
According to the Met Office, Furness will face 'heavy snow' today turning to sleet by late morning.
