A COUNCIL has urged residents to 'act like they've got it' in order to stem the spread of coronavirus.
South Lakeland District Council (SLDC) emphasised the importance of complying with Covid-19 regulations as they revealed that one in three people do not realise they have the virus.
People with an asymptomatic case of Covid-19 are still able to pass on the virus to others.
An SLDC spokesperson said: "Act like you've got it.
"Around one in three people with Covid-19 have no symptoms, but can still pass it on.
"We can all play our part by following the guidance."
