A Barrow stallholder is branching out by providing culinary videos online to help her customers whip up tasty dishes.

Tuk Tarnprasant, 53, owner of Tuks Thai Foods at Barrow Market, has been producing educational videos to help her customers in the kitchen during lockdown.

Ms Tarnprasant, a vegetarian, has so far taught her audience how to create delicious vegan crispy noodles and egg fried rice.

Tuk said: "Over the last year I got a lot of questions from the customers: 'how do I do that, how do I do this?', for things like the egg fried rice.

"And I thought, at this time in lockdown I don't have much to do, so I thought I would do this cooking show.

"I didn't know anything about videoing, my son said: 'mum you need something to stand the camera on', because I'm not very good at these things but I'm trying.

"The mobile shop in the market ordered me one and they didn't even take money off me and they said they support me.

"The videos seem to be quite popular; I hope they know how to cook egg fried rice without the egg mushing together now.

"This is the time for me to help the customers.

"A lot of people and children are staying home and I thought the food could be good for people to try because it is very simple."

Tuk is hoping to release a new recipe every Sunday, with the potential for bonus recipes on weekdays.

You can follow along with the videos by searching for Aphinya Tarnprasart on YouTube.

All of the ingredients needed to recreate the recipes are available from Tuks Thai Food, which can currently be found in the Barrow Market meat hall.
