BARROW Borough Council has voiced support for a campaign aiming to tackle suicide and raise awareness during lockdown.
Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is a leading charity organisation for providing support for those with depression and suicidal thoughts.
The council wrote on social media: "Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75 per cent of all UK suicides are male.
"CALM exists to change this."
The group's campaigns include the #Project84, #DontBottleItUp and The Best Man Project.
They also run an online help line for those living alone who are struggling to find support. The line can be reached at www.thecalmzone.net/help/get-help/.
