A new addition has been added to Muncaster Castle in the form of a new eagle.
Named Mogli, the Bald Eagle will be on display to the public in various shows and events when lockdown permits gatherings to take place.
Muncaster Castle stated on social media: “We are delighted to introduce the latest new recruit to the Muncaster Hawk & Owl Centre.
“Come and meet “Mogli” the Bald Eagle.
“Mogli is currently in training and will be starring in the Sky Hunters afternoon displays when we can open.
We look forward to sharing some training video clips with you in the next few days, so watch this space.”
The bald eagle is a bird of prey found in North America.
It has a life span on 20 years and weighs between 3 - 6.5 kg.
Easily recognized by its white head, brown body, and hooked yellow beak, the bald eagle has been the national emblem for the United States of America since 1782.
Staff at the castle are looking forward to introducing him to the public in person.
