INVITATIONS for Covid-19 vaccinations have been sent out to vulnerable patients set to receive the life-saving jab tomorrow.

Dr Murray & Partners in Stanley Street Ulverston has announced that it will begin rolling out vaccinations at the Ulverston Community Health Centre to the over 80s, care home patients and staff from tomorrow.

The GP surgery is hoping to vaccinate all the above vulnerable groups in Ulverston and surrounding areas within two weeks.

A spokesman from Dr Murray & Partners said the team had been working 'flat out' to ensure the vaccinations take place tomorrow.

They said: "We met with Ulverston Isolation Group volunteers to work on the logistics of delivering the Covid vaccinations, starting on Friday.

"It was real community effort and great to have such enthusiasm.

"The programme starts with the most vulnerable and we will contact you when it is your turn.

"We will deliver the vaccines as soon as possible but this will depend on supply.

"We will also have to maintain as much of your GP services as possible but please be patient if some things take a bit longer than usual. We will be doing our best."

Invitations for the clinic were sent out this week to the most vulnerable patients.

A spokesman said: "We have sent out some invitations for our first clinics this week.

"We will continue to send out invites and add more clinics as we receive delivery dates over the coming weeks.

"If you are unable to use the link in the text message, please wait for us to contact you by phone to arrange your appointment - we have lots of staff currently phoning out to make bookings, so please be patient - we will be in touch."
