St Mary's Hospice have struck up a partnership with a well-known retailer in order to raise funds.

The hospice are partaking in a Co-Op fundraiser which will hopefully see the supportive and palliative care unit in Ulverston raise some much needed funds after a tough 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A spokeswoman said: "We are lucky enough to take part in the Co-Op Local Community Fund this year.

"All we need you to do is choose us as your selected cause and become a member.

"Every time you buy selected brands, 2p from every pound goes to us, it's that easy!

So far the fundraiser stands at just over £300 with plenty of time to go, so sign up where you can.

As a direct impact of coronavirus, requests for support for their family and bereavement service have increased by 40 per cent, highlighting how vital this service is the the whole community in Furness.
