THE Mail readers have given their opinion on a man who was rushed to hospital with coronavirus and ended up in intensive care.

The man is pleading with people to adhere to the lockdown rules so they don’t end up in the same situation.

Stephen Snell said: "Here's what I say. Not going to be popular but hey. Curfew should be in force 10pm till 6am. No one except night workers have an excuse to be out that late anyway now no pubs open."

Peter Garbacz said: "People seem to be confusing 'not dead' with 'recovered'. I know numerous people who have had covid, didn't die, but now have either long term or permanent health conditions because of it."

Wendy Wilson said: "Here’s me worried sick as my son his partner and three grandkids have covid then people say it’s no more than a cold people are actually dying."

Emily Bispham said: "Let's wait for the newly qualified doctors/scientists who appear to have gone to the school of how to read a meme to comment on how the virus isn't real, or the terrible loss of life is ok because it hasn't affected them (yet)."

Noel Hunt said: "Seven days and he’s recovered like 99.98 percent do."

Jamie Wilson said: "He’s recovered due to being in intensive care for a week and being provided oxygen etc. The fact plenty of people are recovering is likely due to the work put in by the people working around the clock for the NHS, not because the virus isn’t bad. But obviously hospitals and intensive care can only cope with so many people at a time. It’s not hard is it? Wear a mask and follow the rules."

Gill Wilson said: "Where does it actually saw he’s recovered ? The fact is his recovery is expected to be very very slow and he may have very serious long term issues."

Jenny Holden-Wilde said: "So what's your suggestion? We just wheel a cart through the streets shouting 'bring out your dead' to deal with the 0.2 per cent? (which would most likely be higher without intensive care)"
