A 13-YEAR-OLD boy is recovering at home after being shot with an air rifle in the street.
Police are appealing for information after two reported incidents in Cambridge Street and Bolton Street, Barrow on December 28 between 3.30pm and 4pm.
Officers said the teenager sustained a back injury and had to be taken to Furness General Hospital for treatment.
He was later transferred to Alder Hey Children's Hospital before being discharged.
The alleged incident is being treated as actual bodily harm (ABH).
A spokesman from Cumbria Police urged anyone with information to come forward.
He said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone with information about the incident.
"They can contact police on 101, quoting incident number 153 of 28th December 2020.
"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
