PLANS to revamp a former school now used as a residential training centre with a dwelling for the owners and operators of the site have been approved by the Lake District National Park Authority.

River Deep Mountain High, sited at School House, Lowick Green, is an outdoor activity facility based in Lowick near Ulverston who plan to create provision of ancillary buildings, engineering works, access track and hardstanding for business use, a report has found.

Lowick Parish Council have no objections that they wish to comment on.

Cumbria County Council as Highway Authority and Lead Local Flood Authority had no objections to the proposals.

This application follows a previously refused application for the same site back in 2020 for a largely similar scheme which also proposed a redesigned porch, but was refused on the grounds it would cause harm to the appearance and character of the existing building.

LDNPA approved the plans.
