An application has been registered for a piece of land to be used for the purposes of amenity, leisure and recreation in association with Skelwith Fold Caravan Park near Ambleside.

The site has applied for a lawful development certificate as they say Beckmire Rigg has been used as a recreational area for the past 24 years.

No decision has yet been made over this application by Lake District National Park Authority.
