BUSINESSES have been given access to £23m of investment funds by the Bank Referral Scheme in the last year, according to figures.
The Government said 889 small and medium sized enterprises have been helped.
Started in 2016, the scheme matches businesses with alternative credit sources if they've been turned down by banks.
Economic secretary to the Treasury, John Glen, said: "By matching small businesses with alternative finance providers, this important scheme has delivered £23m in funding since July 2019.
