MILLOM playpark is due to be redeveloped at the start of January 2021, the council have said.
In a statement MillomTown Council said: "We are delighted to announce that work will commence on the redevelopment of Millom playpark on Monday 4th January 2021.
"From this date the current playpark will be closed and the area closed off for safety.
"The gates closest to Lowther Road will be closed for the duration of the development.
"Some equipment will be delivered over the coming week in preparation for the work starting in the new year, this will be monitored on our new CCTV and we'd urge everyone to please stay away from this equipment.
"Tennis Courts etc can still be accessed via the gates closest to the library / banks.
