A MAN has been remanded in custody after he denied assaulting a woman and damaging baby's high chair.
Dale Philip Smith pleaded not guilty to both charges when he appeared before the bench at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court.
The Barrow man is alleged to have assaulted Shannon Heath by beating her and damaged the chair on December 15.
Magistrates chose to remand the 23-year-old in custody ahead of his next court appearance.
The defendant, of Earl Street, is due to return to court on December 23 for a hearing.
