BARROW Borough Council will be offering further grants based on the level of restrictions placed on local businesses.
The Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) is now available as part of the Covid pandemic response by the council.
The criteria and amounts will vary based on the level of restrictions each business is under, but it will also be based on the size of the business and whether or not they were mandated to close.
Packages will be specific to businesses trading during Tier 2, and for businesses mandated to close for lockdown.
The scheme for businesses mandated to close for lockdown includes ratepayers that fall into the closed guidelines within the National Restrictions.
The support on offer for specific business trading during Tier 2 includes ratepayers that fall into the hospitality, leisure, and accommodation categories.
Businesses trading under Tier 2 can receive:
A) £934 per 28-day period for businesses with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or under
B) £1,400 per 28-day period for businesses with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000
C) £2,100 per 28-day period for businesses with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or above
Business forced to close can receive:

B) £2,000 per 28-day period for businesses with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000
