A CARE home was inspected to determine whether it was following the Covid-19 guidelines.

Bridge House Residential Care Home in Market Street, Flookburgh was visited by officers from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on November 10.

As part of CQC's response to the coronavirus pandemic, the commission group is conducting a thematic review of infection control and prevention measures in care homes.

Bridge House Care Home, which provides accommodation for up to 37 people, was found to be 'following examples of good practice', according to the CQC report.

The report said that families were able to spend time with their loved ones in a 'safe and dignified manner' and regular home testing was in place and any admissions to the home were made following current guidelines and recommended practices.

As well as this, the report found that the staff had been specifically trained in infection control practices in managing coronavirus.
