AFTER the sad cancellation of the annual Holker Hall and Gardens Winter Markets last month, shoppers were delighted to find out that a 'mini Christmas Market' was heading to the grounds at the weekend.

The annual fair which attracts people in their hundreds was cancelled due to coronavirus restrictions.

The mini market saw a small number of traders, including Tailor the Foxx, Nisha Halo, Wolftown and Kick-Ass Strong Cheddar, make their way to the grounds to give everyone the opportunity to pick up last minute Christmas gifts and self indulgences.

After the huge success of the weekends festivities, it is hoped that a number of the traders will make a return for the next two weekends, up until the closure of the grounds on Decemer 20.

Each weekend could see up to 15 stalls ready to greet visitors to the market.

A spokesperson for Holker Hall and Gardens said: "We were so happy to be able to welcome a handful of our wonderful traders back after the disappointment of having to cancel the Winter Markets. The weekend was a great success which saw many visitors back through the gates enjoying the atmosphere and picking up some wonderful Christmas gifts!"

The Holker Hall and Gardens team also have a magical grotto experience planned for December 19-20.
