A BARROW college is inviting businesses to find out more about a brand-new qualification at an online event.
T Levels have been developed by the Government in collaboration with employers to ensure the content of the courses meets the needs of industry. They offer students a mixture of classroom learning and 'on-the-job' experience.
And Furness College in Barrow has invited the public to find out more at a meeting held over video conferencing service Microsoft Teams.
A spokesman for the college said: "We are excited about the introduction of our T Levels in September 2021 and want to highlight what opportunities this could bring to your business.
"A T Level requires a 45-day industry placement, or 315 hours over the two years of the course, and this is where local businesses can benefit from fresh thinking and new ideas from the best and brightest students."
T Levels are two-year courses which are equivalent to three A levels.
The first three T Levels are now available at selected colleges, schools and other providers across England.
A further 7 T Levels will be available in September 2021.
To sign up to the Furness College event, being held between 11am and noon on December 9, and receive a Microsoft Teams link, email tlevels@furness.ac.uk.
