POPULAR indie pop band Scouting For Girls will be heading to Barrow during a huge tour of the UK and Ireland.

The three-piece band unveiled a huge 42 date tour, including a stop at The Forum.

The singers of Elvis Ain't Dead, She's So Lovely, This Ain't A Love Song and James Bond announced the tour yesterday after the unveiling of their brand new album Easy Cover.

The album is available to pre-order now, and will be released in stores and online on March 26, 2021.

The band will be performing at The Forum on October 1, 2021, where they will be playing all of the songs from Easy Cover along with their greatest hits.

The band said that it had been an 'incredibly tough year', but wanted to let fans know that they have been busy behind the scenes.

Talking about Easy Cover they said: "The album is an Scouting For Girls reimagining of some of the biggest songs from the 80s, allowing us to revisit some of our favourite childhood musical moments, from Tears For Fears, The Waterboys, Cyndi Lauper, Whitney Houston, Phil Collins and much more. "

Despite the name, covers are not the only tracks you will find on the album. Singer Roy was inspired to write new original material inspired by the decade, which can be heard in upcoming single ‘I Wish It Was 1989” (“An anthem for 2020!”).

The band have also released a new single ‘Xmas In The 80s’, a nostalgic longing for when Santa was called Father Christmas which will be featured as well.

Tickets to the tour will be going on sale on December 4.
