FIRE crews are urging the public to check if their tumble dryer needs to be recalled to prevent any incidents.
Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service has issued a call to the public to check whether their tumble dryer needs to be taken back to stop any fires.
Whirpool is currently recalling a number of its tumble dryer brands including: Hotpoint, Indesit, Creda, Swan and Proline.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service said: "The fault is caused by excess fluff coming into contact with the heating element, which may cause the machine to set alight. Affected machines were manufactured between April 2004 and September 2015."
