A MAN has been handed 100 hours of unpaid work for being in possession of a knife in a public place.
Nathan McPoland, of Hibbert Road, Barrow was charged with possessing a Stanley Knife in Michaelson Road, Barrow on July 18.
The 21-year-old appeared in Preston Crown Court on Tuesday where he was sentenced to a community order.
He was ordered to undertake 40 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 100 hours of unpaid work which has to be completed within 36 months.
