A WOMAN has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after she was convicted of assault and damaging reading glasses.
Alanna-Jane Wooldridge, 19, admitted that she assaulted Lorraine Jacques on August 15 and damaged her £150 glasses.
At South Cumbria Magistrates' Court, the defendant, of Brook Street in Barrow, was sentenced to 150 hours' unpaid work and told to pay £314.50 compensation, a £95 victim surcharge and costs of £85.
