ONE of the Lake District's lesser-known writers has been placed under the spotlight in a new book.
Though no longer a household name, Adelaide Arnold was, in her day, a popular writer of supernatural fiction.
And a new book, entitled 'The Lake District of Adelaide Arnold', has been released by author John Coppack, providing an abridgement of the three of her 10 published works that had South Lakeland settings.
The book also contains some biographical information about Ms Arnold, who died at her home in Bowness in 1933.
