"We are doing our best" – that’s the message from a newly-launched business which has been suffering abuse from customers due to delayed orders.

Milkshake Madness, in Market Street, Dalton is calling on customers to "care about staff" after receiving abuse over the weekend for late orders.

The milkshake bar opened to the public last month, serving an array of different items including: 37 types of milkshakes, waffle sticks and doughnuts.

In response to this article The Mail's readers were heavily supportive of the business.

This is what they had to say:

Mark Eilbeck said: "In the middle of a pandemic with people losing jobs left right and centre and all some people have to worry about is getting a milkshake delivered late. They need to get a grip, hats off to anyone starting up a new business in these trying times."

Allison Lynch Sherwood said: "We ordered from here and had no problems. Our order was delicious. No need for abuse, a late order can be irritating but there are bigger things going on in the world."

Leanne Gaskell said: "Really enjoyed mine when I got one and staff couldn't help enough, great customer service."

Amanda Wright said: "By far the most amazing treats around, would happily wait. You're all doing a fab job, keep going."

Becky Stretch said: "Ordered few times now never had issues."

Samantha Lacey said: "We ordered two milkshakes at the weekend and had no problems. They were lovely and we will definitely be ordering again."

Shaun Calvert said: "To be honest, for the prices and if your paying delivery charge on top I'd expect it when they said. If they can't then they should get more drivers, they must run at about 75 per cent profit anyway."
