PLANS to extend a popular fish and chip shop have been approved by the Lake District National Park authority.
The Old Smithy, based in Bowness, is a two storey detached dwelling and planning permission was sought to construct a first floor side extension with rear dormer, a rear dormer on the existing dwelling, and a lean-to wood store on the other side elevation.
Windermere and Bowness Town Council recommended approval. They said it was a well designed and practical extension.
