My name is Beverley Parkinson and I am wondering if you can help me?

My mum Bernice Newby died on April 14 this year. She was 93.

She was in Elmhurst Nursing Home, had Alzheimers and had a chest infection before catching Covid-19.

Her belongings were bequeathed to me as her only child.

I kept many treasures including a small old fashioned umbrella.

It was royal blue with white and red flowers and on the handle she had written her name and address in Ulverston and a contact number. But I lost it in Kendal.

I had been to Morrisons, ASDA and the market to try and find it but so far it has had no avail.

I feel disgusted with myself for being so lax - she was so meticulous in everything and I should have treasured it. She had taped her name to the handle so I have put a note through her old address in case anyone returns it.

Mum and Dad were Mayor and Mayoress of Ulverston and chairman of South Lakeland District Council.
