A RENOWNED fitness guru from Furness has created a new idea to get people active and generate funds for the hospice all at the same time.

Local Fitness Guru and entrepreneur Rebbecca Salisbury has laid down the gauntlet this October with Rebbecca’s Rule of six for St Mary’s Hospice.

In her never ending bid to get more people active and raise much needed funds for the hospice, will you join her?

Rebbecca Salisbury said: “Transfigure Fitness is challenging you to the rule of six for St Mary’s Hospice. Perform an exercise or activity for six reps, minutes or miles. This could be:

- Six pull ups

- Six press ups

- Six minutes of burpees

- Six mile bike ride

- Six deadlifts

“You can do whatever you like, as long as you’re moving your body!

“Throughout October:

1. Post a selfie, screen shot or video

2. Donate £6 to the Just Giving Page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/rebbecca-bell

3. Copy and paste the text, then tag/nominate six Facebook friends

“I’m hoping together we can help raise enough to make a difference.”

This event is running throughout October and is a great way for people to stay active and do what they can to help raise vital funds for St Mary’s Hospice.

Clare Paling, area fundraiser for St Mary’s Hospice, said: “The Transfigure Fitness Rave to Remember last October was an incredible success, which can’t be repeated this year for obvious reasons.

“We’re grateful to Rebbecca for starting the ball rolling for an alternative fundraiser with this challenge, and hope that plenty of people will get involved.

“When lots of people do something, however small, great things can be achieved!”
