An outline application for 16 new affordable homes in Coniston has been withdrawn following objections from residents and the Friends of the Lake District.
The plan for the development of a parcel of land, across the way from Coniston Medical Practice, was to provide much needed local occupancy and affordable housing.
One objection letter stated the development would alter the village character and would likely cause traffic issues. Friends of the Lake District objected to this proposal on grounds of impacts on landscape and visual amenity.
