AN MP has urged health bosses to save a GP practice after 95 per cent of patient responses say services must stay local.
South Lakes MP Tim Farron is urging Morecambe Bay CCG to save Goodly Dale GP surgery in Windermere after responses from their own consultation showed an overwhelming support for the services to stay at the current practice.
It comes ahead of a crunch meeting where commissioners will decide whether to close the practice and disperse the patient list to nearby GP practices, or to keep the surgery open and find a new provider.
