A MAN from Barrow has been bailed by magistrates after he denied a charge of assault by beating.
Anthony Bennett, 47, of Cleavelands Avenue, Barrow, appeared in South Cumbria Magistrates Court this week where he faced one charge.
According to court papers, Bennett is alleged to have assaulting Przemyslaw Rucinski by beating him, during an incident in Barrow on March 17 this year.
He entered a not guilty plea to the charge and was bailed to return to court on November 17.
