Rated as five stars on some sites, one customer, Les Hall recently said: “I love the bread made by Peace and Loaf. Great taste and texture with many varied flavours.”

2. McLeys Bakery, Barrow.

A charming little business located on Bath Street in Barrow which has served customers faithfully for several years.

Lynne Chilton said: “McLeys pies have always been my favourite, until today. Same beautiful pastry but where has the meat gone from the potato and meat pies.”

An establishment with decades of service under its belt, it’s customers have remained loyal since its beginning.

A good place to have in an emergency located on Broughton Road.

5. Tina’s Custom Cakes & Confections, Barrow.

Located on Tamar Mews, this little business has been praised for its delicious cakes and high-quality service.

Rachel Shaw recently said: “Absolutely love these currant squares. Only delivered about 10/15 minutes ago and had to have 1 straight away! Beautiful, I’ll definitely be ordering again thank you. Kids are enjoying the sweets already too.”

6. Daddy’s Family Bakery, Barrow

A humble and popular family owned bakery that can be found on Cheltenham Street in Barrow.
