VOLUNTEERS helped clear up the rubbish on a popular Furness beach.
Members of Rotary Club of Ulverston picked up a number of bags of rubbish as part of their communal clear up of Bardsea Beach.
The group said they did not pick up as much litter as they had in the past, which is a ‘good thing’.
Roy Gill, a member of Rotary Club of Ulverston: “It was strange doing it with social distancing. We did not collect as much litter as we have in past, which is a good thing.
“At least the weather this year was good.”
