A COASTGUARD team was called out after reports of 'suspicious items' on the beach.
Millom Coastguard was called out on Monday morning after suspected war ordnance was discovered on the beach at Drigg.
This was later confirmed by the Royal Navy.
Consequently, the Royal Navy EOD Team from Northern Diving Group attended the incident and disposed of a number of ordnance items.
Millom Coastguard is reiterating its warning to dial 999 if you discover anything out of the ordinary on the beach.
