BARROW residents who are struggling to save money on their energy bills who own cold and draughty houses should contact the Cold to Cosy Homes Cumbria service.
It is available to those who meet fit within a wide range of criteria.
Councillor Kevin Hamilton said: "We need to make sure we are prepared for winter this year. Cumbria is known for its harsh weather conditions, but with the ongoing climate crisis, the weather will certainly be more extreme than in previous years."
