A ONE-man show created in Adelaide, Australia, is heading to Millom next month.
'Spitfire' written and performed by Nicholas Collett, showcases 80-year-old Peter Walker, an ex-Battle of Britain pilot, in the June of the new Millennium.
The show follows Peter as he relives past glories, losses, wartime experiences, family memories and battles.
Boasting a blend of theatre, music and film, this multi-layered production brings a multitude of characters to life while recreating the Battle of Britain onstage.
This production will be the first to hit the stage at the Beggar's Theatre since it's closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Spitfire will be at the theatre on September 18 at 7.30pm.
To book tickets for Spitfire, visit the Beggar's Theatre website at: www.beggarstheatre.com/event/spitfire-2/
Tickets cost: £8-£14.
