A COASTGUARD team were called out to rescue two people stuck in the mud.
Furness Coastguard assisted Arnside & South Lakes Coastguard Rescue Team with rescuing two people who had become stuck in mud.
With high tide only a couple of hours away, the pair were successfully removed and returned to the beach where they were given safety advice by the Coastguard.
Coastguard teams are advising people of the dangers of quicksand and mud.
They are urging people to shout for help or call 999 if someone becomes stuck.
