A MAN has denied possessing an offensive weapon public.
Timothy Jason Baker denied that on July 29 he had a claw hammer in public without reasonable excuse.
At South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court, he also denied a charge of possessing a bladed article, namely a Stanley knife.
The 29-year-old, of Duke Street in Askam, is alleged to have committed the offences on Ireleth Road.
He was bailed and will appear in court next on August 28.
