A BARROVIAN northern soul enthusiast has penned a book which explores the birth of the music genre.
‘Whitworth St, Manchester’, written by Barrow born author Rob McKeever, follows the evolution of music that began in a small basement club.
The book explores how the blues, r&b, mod, soul and eventually northern soul became blurred as a result of DJ’s in the same session.
