A WOMAN who was given a suspended jail sentence for dangerous driving is due to appear in court after a suspected breach of an order.
Lorna Ann Warren avoided jail previously after she pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, taking a vehicle without consent and driving without insurance or a licence on Walney.
The 38-year-old appeared at Preston Crown Court this week but her case was adjourned to October 9.
She was due to hand herself in to Barrow police station after failing to turn up to Preston Crown Court earlier in the month for allegedly breaching an order - but did not do so.
In February she was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for 18 months for the driving offences.
Preston Crown Court heard that a police officer saw Warren, of Holborn Hill, Millom, drive through a red light on the promenade. Other vehicles had to take evasive action to avoid colliding with her Ford Fiesta, including an oncoming car which had to break to avoid a crash. PC Haworth activated his sirens followed Warren into Central Drive, into Park Lane and into Margate Street but called off the chase and took down her details.
