A Hugel Mound
ART Gene, a community group run by artists, have said they will be running a 'Hugel Mound' workshop and want the public to get involved.
This is a great way to create a highly fertile soil, retain moisture, sequester carbon, and supply nutrients over the years to provide more sustainable growing space on Mill Lane on Walney.
If you wanted to help out your would need weather appropriate clothing, gardening tools, and snacks to keep yourself from going hungry.
The event will take place on August 1 from 10am-4pm and to get involved email events@art-gene.co.uk.
